The all-new Roland Berger social intranet was launched in July 2013. It combines employee communication, collaboration, information and applications in one digital workplace. The homepage is dominated by a completely personalized newsfeed, showing social activities from colleagues and communities the user follows and activities matching the interests added to the user profile. The right column can also be customized by every user, who can select various functionalities from a range of available widgets ('Manage my widgets'). Overall, the intranet design follows the idea of a rational, business-like approach (black on white) – content is structured by using large colorful headers instead of graphical borders or colored surfaces. By using hand tuned webfonts for all text elements the site represents our corporate design in a very modern way.
