Digital Workplace Group Awards 2025: DBS Bank – Winner for AI-Driven Productivity

September 17, 2025 by

DBS Bank has long been recognized as a digital trailblazer and, in 2025, it continues to lead the way with MyIntranet – an AI-powered, personalized digital workspace that has earned DBS the DWG Award for AI-Driven Productivity. This recognition celebrates DBS’s commitment to creating seamless, intuitive experiences that empower employees, deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business impact.

Personalization and AI-powered productivity

MyIntranet breaks away from traditional organization-centric models. Instead, it adopts an individual-centric approach that prioritizes personal relevance, workflow integration and discoverability. Grounded in extensive user research and co-creation, the platform reflects real employee needs and integrates deeply into daily work. The redesigned MyIntranet features a two-tiered architecture: unified navigation, intelligent notifications and seamless integration with key DBS platforms for all employees, plus customizable dashboards and widgets for personal workflow optimization.

A standout feature is DBS-GPT, the bank’s in-house generative AI assistant. Employees can use natural language to retrieve information, complete tasks and access personalized career guidance. This transforms MyIntranet from a static portal into a dynamic productivity assistant, helping employees to save time and focus on what matters most.

Impact and engagement

The transformation has delivered measurable outcomes: 20% faster access to information, saving 6,000 man-days annually; 450,000+ tasks completed through the consolidated to-do list; and a 62% increase in page views. With a 4.6/5 user satisfaction rating, MyIntranet has become the central digital destination for collaboration and daily task execution. Employees have praised the platform’s flexibility and time-saving features, noting how custom widgets and shortcuts streamline their work.

The redesign was informed by a rigorous discovery process, including interviews, regional sessions and co-creation workshops. Insights were validated through employee listening campaigns, which prioritized ‘Me’, ‘Me and my work’ and ‘Me and my people’. A 360° communication strategy ensured widespread awareness and adoption, including email announcements, push notifications via OneBot, and targeted briefings for business and support units.

Culture of innovation and responsible AI

DBS’s culture of digital transformation is supported by extensive AI training, hundreds of AI/ML models in production and a Responsible AI Taskforce. Tools like DBS-GPT and CSO Assistant (a GenAI-powered tool that transcribes, summarizes and recommends solutions for customer queries in real time) exemplify ethical, impactful AI deployment that enhances both employee and customer experiences. DBS’s digital workplace strategy is part of a broader ‘phygital’ approach – blending physical and digital experiences to preserve human connection while leveraging cutting-edge technology.

Conclusion

DBS Bank’s transformation of MyIntranet is a masterclass in digital workplace innovation. By blending personalization, AI and mobile-first design, DBS has created a future-ready platform that empowers employees and drives measurable impact. It’s a shining example of how thoughtful design and strategic vision can elevate the digital employee experience.
