In a winner cohort defined by the shift from AI experimentation to governed, enterprise-scale capability, DBS Bank stood out for weaving artificial intelligence (AI) through the entire fabric of work. The 2026 Digital Workplace Group Award for AI-Enabled Workforce Transformation recognizes DBS Bank’s achievement in building not a standalone AI tool, but an integrated, responsibly governed ecosystem connecting intelligence, knowledge, mobile access and employee capability across more than 40,000 employees in 19 markets.

A coherent, AI-enabled ecosystem
DBS Bank’s story is one of sustained progression, anchored in its vision to be “the best AI-enabled bank with a heart”. DBS-GPT provides secure, role-based access to more than 4 million internal policies and knowledge assets, helping employees search, synthesize, write, translate, research and solve problems. OneMobile extends this into the flow of work, combining knowledge, learning, communications, employee services and AI-enabled support in a personalized mobile gateway. Responsible-AI frameworks, including R.I.S.E. and PURE (Purpose, Unsurprising, Respectful and Explainable), keep resilience, security, explainability and trust at the centre of delivery.

Impact at scale
The business outcomes are substantial. In 2025, DBS Bank deployed more than 2,000 AI models across more than 430 use cases. Employee engagement remains strong at 91% and more than 11,000 employees have been identified for deeper AI-related upskilling and reskilling.

What impressed the judges was that this scale has been achieved without losing sight of people. More than 100 Future-of-Work Ambassadors, co-creation workshops, roadshows and pop-up events helped shape design and prioritization around real employee needs. The judges also highlighted DBS Bank’s rare consistency: a digital workplace that continues to progress year after year, with AI, knowledge management, mobile experience, services and learning increasingly working as one system.
