Thanks for visiting the Digital Workplace Group (DWG) website. You'll see this post may refer to the "Intranet Benchmarking Forum (IBF)," the "Digital Workplace Forum (DWF)" or "IBF Live." But that doesn't match our website name!

In a nutshell, we merged IBF and DWF into one service and changed our name to "Digital Workplace Group." The new name represents the broader set of services we've grown to offer, beyond an original focus on just intranets. We also changed the name of our monthly webinar from "IBF Live" to "Digital Workplace Live."

Although we've relabelled things, we're proud of our decade+ history and have left this page intact. Enjoy your time on our site and please contact us with any questions or comments.

IBF releases research evaluating SharePoint 2007 as a platform for enterprise intranets.

As more and more organisations jump on the SharePoint 2007 bandwagon,
intranet managers are coming under increasing pressure from IT
departments to deploy the technology as the basis of the enterprise
intranet. But is it up to the job? And what are the pitfalls?

Calling on his experience of helping organisations implement
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (SharePoint 2007), IBF
associate and renowned expert on the selection and implementation of
intranet software Martin White has evaluated SharePoint 2007 as a
platform for enterprise intranets. The resulting report looks at how
SharePoint 2007 works, its strengths and weaknesses as an intranet
platform, and how it may evolve in future. It concludes by setting out
recommendations for the successful implementation of an
enterprise-level intranet using SharePoint 2007.

Note: once SharePoint 2010 is released next year we will be updating
the report to reflect changes to the software. If you buy the report
you you will be entitled to a free update.

Titled ‘The SharePoint 2007 intranet’, the report is available until
31 August at the discounted price of £195. After that, the cost will go
up to £295. You can pay by credit card, PayPal or by requesting an
invoice. Once you’ve paid, you’ll be able to download a PDF version of
