AI readiness

10 December 2024

AI readiness is a crucial discipline for digital workplace teams to adopt to realise it benefits while sidestepping the pitfalls that come with prematurely introducing sophisticated AI capabilities, setting up organizations for potential failure.

This research paper expands on our previous Generative AI report, Generative AI: Unlocking value and managing risk inside organizations, which explored the risks, opportunities and governance strategies critical to generative AI. It also draws inspiration from Organizational readiness: What digital workplace teams need to know, using its foundational concepts around organizational systems, team cultivation and individual capability to inform AI readiness strategies.3 By focusing on leadership readiness, use-case prioritization, workforce enablement, ethical frameworks and data management, this research provides organizations with a strategic roadmap for ensuring successful AI adoption.

We will also present case studies from pioneers in the AI space, showcasing best practices from leading organizations such as Koch and Google.

About DWG research

The Digital Workplace Group (DWG) carries out research into best practice in intranet and portal deployment. Covering the hottest topics in the intranet world, the studies we undertake are rooted in practical examples from among DWG member organizations as well as leading non-member companies. The results of this in-depth research act as a basis for decision-making, a source of ideas, and the basis for rich interactions between participants at DWG meetings. Generally, members are given exclusive access to our findings, although we do from time to time make a report available to non-members.
