“We have limited touch time with our employees. It was very difficult to get communications and information out to the staff when you have such a limited opportunity to actually see them.”

– Ricky Sickelmore, Stagecoach

Awarded for Enabling the Frontline in the Digital Workplace of the Year Awards 2019, Paul Miller talks to the project manager for Stagecoach’s digital transformation, Ricky Sickelmore.

Stagecoach runs a network of buses and trams across the UK, and employs 25,000 people, the majority of whom are frontline workers. From an under-used, desk-orientated intranet to a much-loved mobile app, Ricky and his team have been able to deliver real benefits to drivers and engineers.

Paul and Ricky discuss the ingenious pilot, the lightning rollout, bringing your own device (BYOD) and the ripple effect of positivity on the organization as a whole.
