Ted Hopton joins Digital Workplace Group
Digital Workplace Group (DWG) is delighted to welcome Ted Hopton to our ever-growing team!
Ted joined to lead the launch of the DWG Technology and Research Institute. He wears many other hats too within DWG as the Institute ramps up, including responsibility for strategy, operations, business development, client delivery and account management.
The DWG Technology and Research Institute brings together organizations, technology providers and experts to share knowledge, ideas and perspectives securely and confidentially, to significantly improve and reimagine the way we work today and in the future.
The purpose of the DWG Institute is to innovate, explore and evolve the new digital worlds of work for the 2020s and beyond.
Ted’s prior experience includes a decade of leading digital workplaces, plus executive leadership roles at consulting and software development firms. He co-founded the Chicago Online Community Professionals peer group and continues to serve on its Board.
DWG CEO and Founder, Paul Miller, says: “It is excellent news to have Ted Hopton joining us in a key technology lead role in the new DWG Technology and Research Institute. What makes Ted special, which also fits with the DWG approach, is that he is both highly experienced in the technology and software provider world whilst also coming from a research, relationship and insight stance. I am amazed at the breadth of his network, and his way of building strategic partnerships is perfect for us as DWG extends its role in the enterprise technology industry.”
We are all excited to have Ted working with us, and we look forward to seeing how both he and the Technology and Research Institute grow and flourish in the coming months and years.
On joining DWG, Ted said: “I’m getting to do what I love, which is working with very sharp people to build something new and different by imagining possibilities and devising ways to bring those ideas to life. This really feels like a fitting capstone for the past 15 years of my career, as I am leveraging my experience both leading online communities as well as designing digital workplace technology solutions, combined with my passion for bringing users and technology providers together.”
