There is a theme running through the talks that Paul Miller, CEO and Founder of the Digital Workplace Group (DWG) and co-author of The Digital Renaissance of Work: Delivering digital workplaces fit for the future, will deliver for Cisco, Harvard Business Review and the European Commission in the next few months – new era leadership in the digital workplace.

Over the past six years Paul has led the popularization of the term “digital workplace” and, while he already sees leadership changing to suit the new digital worlds in which we work, believes that this evolution needs to go still further and to happen more rapidly. His focus is on why leaders must shift from being dictators to influencers in order to have an impact in the digital workplaces they lead.

In three key talks (Cisco – Sept 21st; Harvard Business Review – Sept 22nd; European Commission – Nov 29th) Paul will explain the five new principles for leadership in the modern digital workplace, which enable reaching out to a “workforce” that now extends far beyond employees and contractors, to freelance and mobile workers, as well as partners and the supply chain.
