IBF introduce new Financial Value benchmark option

January 6, 2010

In 2010 IBF is introducing a fifth benchmarking option during the annual member benchmark. Alongside the traditional four benchmarking areas of Usability, Communications & Culture, Metrics & Performance and Strategy & Governance, members will be offered a fifth benchmark option, Financial Value.

IBF developed a full Intranet Financial Value tool last year and the full product consists of 28 service areas which can be evaluated, for current exploited value and potential unexploited value.

The new Financial Value benchmark option for members in 2010 is to choose to be evaluated on 2 from 4 of these services: employee directory, remote working, training and new ideas

The Financial Value evaluation will:

  • look at the investments and returns associated with the chosen services
  • highlight key exploited and unexploited value areas
  • offer recommendations for further financial value opportunities
