Paul Miller’s book “The Digital Workplace” now available in eBook edition
21 May 2012, New York & London
The Digital Workplace Forum (DWF) is delighted to announce that Paul Miller’s new book “The Digital Workplace: How Technology is Liberating Work” is now available to read as an eBook across all major devices, including Kindle, Nook and iPad. Full details can be found at www.thedigitalworkplacebook.com.
Miller, CEO and Founder of DWF and the Digital Workplace Group (DWG) published his book last month in physical format. The work explores the dramatic transformation of work from an activity carried out in only physical location, to one which can be done from anywhere, with many transactions happening in a virtual environment. As Miller explains in the book, “Work is shape-shifting around us and this book tries to tell you how, where and why.”
Paul Miller said “It’s fitting that my book is now out in an eBook edition. For this to have happened, it took looking into topics like ebook distribution to even get an idea of how having my book as an eBook would be beneficial. So many aspects of our lives across both work and leisure are rapidly changing. Just as the ways people read books have dramatically evolved, the ways people are working are also experiencing a seismic shift.”
Miller continued “Both individuals and organizations face a massive series of challenges as we switch from interacting in the office to interacting online. But the potential rewards are enormous. We have a unique opportunity to completely rebuild work so it is more productive, more engaging, and a much better fit with our increasingly busy lives.”
Miller’s book has already started to garner considerable acclaim. For example David Smith, Chief Innovation and Technology Officer at Fujitsu, commented
“This is an insightful look at how the technological advances driving the digital age are already visibly changing the workplace and where those new capabilities might lead us.”
The book is now available in editions for the Amazon Kindle (US and UK) and Barnes & Noble Nook, as well as being on sale in the Apple iBookstore. It will also be available as a Google eBook shortly.
The book, which is also available in traditional format from Amazon and Barnes & Noble, will be officially launched in Europe on June 20th at Digital Peninsula Greenwich, London. It is published by TECL Publishing.
