New member Verizon wins Nielsen Norman Group’s 2011 Intranet Design Awards
We are thrilled to announce that Verizon, one of the latest companies to join the Digital Workplace Group, recently won the Nielsen Norman Intranet Design Award.
The focus of the 2011 awards is knowledge management; a term that has been “overused, abused and hyped beyond the level of cliché” in the past according to Jakob Nielsen, principal of the Nielsen Norman Group. Winning organizations, such as Verizon, were selected for successfully leveraging the digital workplace to enable employees to produce useful and interesting content with bottom-line impact.
Verizon, a global leader in delivering broadband and other wireless communications services, joined IBF in December and will be benchmarked against other global 500 organisations in 2011.
It’s always great to hear when one of our members is accredited especially as it will be interesting to hear how they fair when benchmarked against other DWG members. Congratulations to the Verizon intranet team!
