ALI Intranet & Digital Workplace Summit 2014

Summary: Nancy Goebel, a Managing Director at the Digital Workplace Group (DWG), is confirmed to speak at the inaugural Intranet and Digital Workplace Summit in Chicago on July 31st.

New York, NY – June 5th, 2014: Nancy Goebel, Managing Director for Strategic Relationships at the Digital Workplace Group (DWG), is confirmed to speak at North America’s first Intranet and Digital Workplace Summit on July 31st in Chicago, IL.

Goebel will present a new framework for dealing with one of the largest challenges faced by digital workplace teams: stakeholder engagement. This new framework aims to help teams at large organizations improve their success around this perennial challenge.

Stakeholders for intranet and digital workplace projects typically represent an array of business functions, job roles and levels within the corporate hierarchy. Properly managing this diverse group requires skilled relationship management, strong communication, targeted decision-making techniques and artful planning.

The problems that plague such projects are myriad, but all successful projects share in common effective stakeholder engagement. A recent research report from DWG on “Digital Workplace Fundamentals” highlighted this issue. The report noted that successful digital workplace change projects rely on cross-functional teams, both at the management and implementation levels.

The inaugural Intranet and Digital Workplace Summit in North America offers a compelling moment for DWG to preview its new stakeholder engagement framework. The summit’s speaker lineup focuses on intranet and digital workplace practitioners at large organizations such as IBM, Kraft Foods, Inc. and Walgreens. And the summit offers a cross-functional view including internal communications, employee engagement and driving business results.

Goebel herself brings years of experience with intranets and digital workplaces. Over almost two decades at JPMorgan Chase & Co., she managed diverse stakeholders for a variety of technology change projects.

The Intranet and Digital Workplace Summit in Chicago on July 29th–31st is being produced by the Advanced Learning Institute (ALI) and is sponsored by DWG. Visit the ALI website to learn more about the conference: http://www.aliconferences.com/events/intranet-and-digital-workplace-summit-2014.
