Ellen van Aken wins the 2017 Diamond Award
London, UK – October 6, 2017 – Ellen van Aken has been named as the winner of the 2017 Diamond Award, presented at the Intranet Now 2017 Conference.
The Diamond Award recognizes individuals who have made the most remarkable contribution to the intranet community, sharing their thoughts, theories, guidance and stories about intranets and the digital workplace.
The judges remarked that Ellen has tirelessly “explored SharePoint permissions, intranet features and the practice of intranet management for over six years, in an accessible and often fun manner”.
Ellen is an experienced intranet adoption manager, having worked for more than 10 years in intranet/SharePoint roles in multinational companies. Her experience includes strategy and governance, policies and housekeeping, usability and design, and she has created communication, training and promotional materials for the intranet and related tools. Ellen shares her learnings and experiences via her blog, MyDigitalWorkplace and extensive collection of intranet and ESN launch videos. Ellen is also Digital Workplace Group’s Social Media Manager.
As part of her acceptance speech, Ellen said: “I’m very happy and proud to have received this award because the other nominees made for a very tough competition, so I’m very surprised that my down-to-earth SharePoint blog and video collection have made such an impression. Thank you very much for the honour.”
The Award was presented at the Intranet Now Conference, in London on October 5, 2017.
