February 6, 2014

On Tuesday, February 18th in Central London the Digital Workplace Group (DWG) and Barclays will host a private meeting of intranet teams from large companies. In an environment of confidential sharing Barclays will provide a rare in-depth tour of its award-winning mobile intranets.

London, United Kingdom – Feb 6, 2014: At a private meeting in Barclays’ London offices, members of the Digital Workplace Group (DWG) Member Forum will share best practice, real-world stories and live tours related to mobile intranets. The Barclays team will provide an in-depth tour of the company’s award-winning mobile intranet, called “My Zone”.

In 2013 Barclays won a Platinum Intranet Innovation Award for its mobile intranet, called MyZone. Step Two Designs, an intranet consultancy headed by global intranet expert James Robertson, runs the Intranet Innovation Awards (IIAs).
Barclays won the award because, according to the award website, it “created a mobile intranet for frontline staff with a rich functionality set resulting in tangible outcomes such as increased knowledge sharing, improved employee engagement and reduced costs”.

Barclays is a member of the DWG Member Forum along with other large financial institutions, including Aviva, AXA Group, Citi, Fidelity, ING, Liberty Mutual, PNC, Rabobank, RBS, Schroders, Standard Life, Thrivent Financial.

The DWG Member Forum provides advanced intranet benchmarking evaluations, peer learning and expert research to member organizations, most of which are Fortune 500 or FTSE 100 companies.

DWG member meetings take place eight or more times a year throughout North America and Europe. These meetings provide a confidential, facilitated environment for intranet and digital workplace teams at major organizations to learn from each other, discover best practices and network with peers. This environment, protected by DWG’s non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), offers large companies a rare opportunity for open and honest sharing and advanced peer learning.

DWG occasionally makes available special guest passes for non-member companies to join Member Meetings, if those companies can contribute to meeting discussions and content. Only intranet and digital workplace teams from large companies can qualify and only unders a strict confidentiality agreement.
