Digital Workplace Group awarded Cyber Essentials certification

March 4, 2026

Digital Workplace Group (DWG) has been awarded the UK Government‑backed Cyber Essentials certification by IASME, demonstrating that the organization has robust, independently assessed controls in place to protect against cyber threats.

Cyber Essentials sets out a nationally recognized baseline for cyber security and is delivered in partnership with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) through IASME, the scheme’s official delivery partner. Achieving certification confirms that DWG has implemented key technical controls, including secure configuration, boundary firewalls and internet gateways, access control, malware protection, and patch management, and that these are reviewed and validated on an annual basis.

“Earning Cyber Essentials certification is an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to safeguarding client and employee data,” said Sarah Escott, Digital Workplace Manager at DWG. “Our members trust us with sensitive information, and this certification provides independent assurance that we take that responsibility seriously and align our practices with nationally recognized standards for cyber security.”

Cyber Essentials has been shown to significantly reduce an organization’s exposure to common cyber attacks, including many forms of ransomware, and is increasingly expected across the supply chain, particularly in UK public sector and regulated markets. Certification also enables organizations to demonstrate due diligence around information security to customers, partners and insurers.

DWG will renew its Cyber Essentials certification annually and continue to invest in its security controls, staff awareness and governance to keep pace with the evolving threat landscape.
