Digital workplace integration
DWG’s brand new research report “Digital workplace integration: Key approaches to drive benefits” examines what needs to be done in order to deliver a more integrated digital workplace, meaning that disparate applications and systems (as well as related content) are experienced together in ways that add value for employees.
An integrated or “seamless” experience of the digital workplace is often the stated goal of digital workplace strategies and initiatives. However, achieving this can be challenging for organizations faced with the widespread portfolio of applications used by their employees.
This report takes a closer look at what digital workplace integration actually means, how it can deliver value, and how some organizations are making it happen. The report covers key approaches for success, such as using personalization to drive value in integration. It also examines how some companies are using a microservices approach. Two detailed, but contrasting, case studies from Liberty Mutual and the University of Liverpool are included.

About DWG research
The Digital Workplace Group (DWG) carries out research into best practice in intranet and portal deployment. Covering the hottest topics in the intranet world, the studies we undertake are rooted in practical examples from among DWG member organizations as well as leading non-member companies. The results of this in-depth research act as a basis for decision-making, a source of ideas, and the basis for rich interactions between participants at DWG meetings. Generally, members are given exclusive access to our findings, although we do from time to time make a report available to non-members.
