“My son actually has a voice in the products and what he consumes every day. And as a business, I need to respond to that. The measure is no longer about output, like it was in this very mechanical era. It's about impact. And, in fact, I think I would go as far as to say it's about experience. People buy experience.”

– Toni Vanwinkle, Adobe

As new generations come through; as people seek purpose (and passion) in their work; as the consumer’s voice becomes more and more powerful – is the organization moving from a mechanistic view to a natural, living system view?

Paul explores this fascinating idea with guests, Nick Allen, Global Director of Design and User Experience at GE Healthcare and Toni Van Winkle, Senior Director, Digital Workplace Experience at Adobe, recorded in front of a live audience at Digital Workplace Experience 2019 in June. They draw upon personal experiences and share how their respective organizations have evolved recently to adapt to the changing environments.

Listen to this enlightening conversation unfold as they discuss topics such as human-centred design, prototyping, AI and machine learning, and whether these are ushering in the digital-age’s "organization as a living system".
