“People are going to realize – I can have all the benefits of Reddit but in a decentralized, better version where it's not controlled by a company, it's controlled by me.”

- Wendy Hanamura

There’s a growing group of inspiring, intelligent and creative people from around the world who believe that the web has started to fail us – it’s not private and it’s no longer secure.

They don’t just think this, they are actively trying to create a new web – the decentralized web, known as DWeb. The premise is that control is taken from the large few and given to the many small, in the hopes of building a web that is more open, private, secure and fun.

Paul speaks to Wendy Hanamura, Director of Partnerships at The Internet Archive, and Event Producer for DWeb Camp, as she prepares for the four-day retreat, and asks what this all means for the world of work.

Follow the conversation as Wendy tells us more about the DWeb movement; explains why we need to reboot our relationship with technology; and describes what a new online world could, and should, look like.
