The ability to quickly find what one needs in both the structured and unstructured repositories has moved from “nice to do” to “need to do” in order to facilitate decision-making and improve customer responsiveness.
There is considerable interest in leveraging enterprise text search software to search structured databases, integrate the results with other sources, mine unstructured repositories for numerical information and present the results graphically to aid decision making.
