Digital Workplace Group (DWG) team makes up 50% of the Intranet Now Diamond Award nominations for 2019
We couldn’t be more proud of our DWG team and the nominations they have received in the Intranet Now Diamond Awards for 2019.
The Diamond Award recognizes a remarkable contribution to the intranet community.
Paul Miller, DWG Founder and CEO is nominated for his long history in the industry but also for his books, current podcast and expansion into America.
Paul’s last book, The Digital Renaissance of Work: Delivering digital workplaces fit for the future (co-authored with Elizabeth Marsh, also nominated), was shortlisted for the Management Book of the Year 2016 Award, and his previous book, The Digital Workplace: How technology is liberating work, helped to popularize and explain the term “digital workplace”.
Paul also hosts the Digital Workplace Impact podcast, which was recently listed as one of the “Top 15 Workplace Podcasts” by Feedspot.
Elizabeth Marsh, DWG Director of Research and digital leadership expert, is nominated for her thought leadership within DWG, and particularly her recent superb work on digital literacy. Long career in research and academia, adding to the formal knowledge we have.
Elizabeth leads DWG’s Research Programme with its library of 70+ best practice reports. She also regularly gets involved in consulting and benchmarking projects.
Elizabeth is co-author, with Paul Miller, of The Digital Renaissance of Work: Delivering digital workplaces fit for the future. She has just started a Digital Society PhD at the University of Nottingham focusing on mitigating issues such as technostress and information overload in the digital workplace.
Steve Bynghall and Chris Tubb are jointly nominated for their thoughtful blogging and ideas, which improve the professional standards of intranet managers.
Steve is a research and knowledge lead for Digital Workplace Group. He has produced several best practice reports, is a regular blogger and provides knowledge management services to DWG members. Steve is also one of DWG’s benchmarking team, specializing in the areas of collaboration, strategy and governance.

As DWG Managing Director for Membership & Strategic Partnerships, Nancy Goebel, says: “I’ve always known and appreciated that we are surrounded by exceptional talent across DWG! Seeing four DWG colleagues shortlisted for the 2019 Intranet Now Diamond Awards is a spotlight moment for our esteemed colleagues and for DWG as a whole.”
Congratulations also go to the other shortlist nominees: Andrew Wright, Kurt Sorensen, Lau Andreason and Richard Hare.
The winner will be announced on Thursday October 4 at the Intranet Now conference. We have everything crossed!
