Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) Annual Conference 2015
The IoIC Annual Conference will take place in Brighton, UK on April 30th and May 1st, 2015. The event will bring together communicators from throughout the UK and beyond to explore the key issues of the day.
Internal Communications and the digital workplace
A large portion of the intranets out there are managed by the Internal Communications (IC) Department. While this isn’t always a perfect fit, the IC department often has a clearer remit for managing the intranet than other departments.
As the public discourse around intranets shifts to an examination of the broader digital workplace, many internal communicators find themselves thrust into important, strategic conversations. But are they ready for it?
On becoming a digital workplace leader
In 2014 Elizabeth Marsh co-authored the book, The Digital Renaissance of Work, and wrote a report titled Becoming a Digital Workplace Leader: the big shift from intranet management.
Elizabeth’s expertise in this area, her role in overseeing DWG’s Research Programme, and her direct experience of managing intranets at major global organizations, position her to provide deep insights on this shift and the role of Internal Communications in the world of the digital workplace.
If you are interested in having Elizabeth Marsh or her co-author on The Digital Renaissance of Work, DWG CEO Paul Miller, provide a similar presentation you can request a speaker for your event.
