Verizon and the Scottish Government rejoin the Digital Workplace Group to recapture exclusive intranet benchmarking and peer learning

February 12, 2014

Synopsis:Two major organizations of very different ilks have rejoined the Digital Workplace Group (DWG) Member Forum after missing out on the confidential peer learning and comparative intranet benchmarking with other large organizations.

London, United Kingdom – Feb 12, 2014: Verizon, a global telecommunications company with over 180,000 employees, and the Scottish Government have both rejoined the Digital Workplace Group (DWG) Member Forum after having once been members of its predecessor, the Intranet Benchmarking Forum (IBF). On February 3rd, 2014 IBF became the DWG Member Forum.

Both Verizon and the Scottish Government aim to provide world class intranets and broader digital workplaces to their employees. Both organizations had previously been members of DWG’s exclusive benchmarking group, but took breaks from membership during times of organizational change.

And during their breaks both organizations recognized the value of the sophisticated intranet benchmarking, expert industry research and confidential peer learning provided by the DWG Member Forum.

Upcoming research from the Digital Workplace Group includes a report on how innovative organizations are using mobile apps to improve frontline employee efficiency and satisfaction, a report on how to measure the impact of internal communications within large organizations, and a report on how companies use internal social media to drive business value.

Recent DWG peer learning events have showcased intranets and collaboration platforms from Adobe, AXA and Barclays.

The decisions by Verizon and the Scottish Government to rejoin highlight role and value and value of the DWG Member Forum the unique services of the Digital Workplace Group. The DWG Member Forum’s confidential environment allows for open and honest sharing between large organizations, research based on in-depth case studies, and true apples-to-apples intranet comparisons via rigorous member benchmarking.

Many Fortune 500/FTSE 100 and equivalent organizations struggle to keep up with industry standards, understand what peer organizations are doing and find real-world expertise. The DWG Member Forum addresses those issues with its unique and innovative services.
