Thanks for visiting the Digital Workplace Group (DWG) website. You'll see this post may refer to the "Intranet Benchmarking Forum (IBF)," the "Digital Workplace Forum (DWF)" or "IBF Live." But that doesn't match our website name!
In a nutshell, we merged IBF and DWF into one service and changed our name to "Digital Workplace Group." The new name represents the broader set of services we've grown to offer, beyond an original focus on just intranets. We also changed the name of our monthly webinar from "IBF Live" to "Digital Workplace Live."
Although we've relabelled things, we're proud of our decade+ history and have left this page intact. Enjoy your time on our site and please contact us with any questions or comments.
IBF Live – intranet and digital workplace insights in a monthly online broadcast
Digital Workplace Live is the unique online show from IBF. Going out live on the first Tuesday of every month it offers live tours and expert insights on intranets, social and collaborative software, mobile apps and the broader digital workplace.
Webinar: Are government intranets surpassing corporates by using open source and big data?
Date: Tuesday, November 5th, 2013
Time: 16-17:00 London-GMT · 11-12:00 New York-EST
It’s easy to assume that for-profit companies can lead the way in enterprise technology, especially intranets. But government agencies are innovating in inspiring ways and leaving many corporations in their dust.
The Dutch government uses Pleio, an open source social networking platform, to create a collaboration platform that extends across departments and out to citizens. And the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency just won an award for its sophisticated use of data to make decisions about its services.
Join IBF Live on November 5th to see and hear the details from both case studies.
Presenters and detailed topics for the show
Regular co-hosts Paul Miller, CEO of the DIgital Workplace Group, and Ephraim Freed, Communications Manager at the Digital Workplace Group, will welcome to the studio three special guests.
Carmen Nolten-Laan from the Dutch government will show a live tour of Pleio, the open source social platform that is breaking down barriers between government departments and citizens.
Tony Peleska, CIO of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, will explain how the agency has aggregated data from many sources to create a sophisticated analysis tool for delivering its services.
Joe Marks, a reporter for Government Executive Magazine, will join the show to discuss innovations and challenges in government technology and data.
