IBF Live – the online broadcast featuring the best intranets from around the world.

Digital Workplace Live is the unique online intranet show from IBF. Going out live on the first Tuesday of every month, it’s unmissable for anyone who works with intranets, portals and information workplaces.

2 April episode featuring:
Safeway’s open source intranet and
Group Health Cooperative’s before/after journey

April’s IBF Live episode offers up a virtual intranet feast, with two very different, very interesting live tours.

Jeremy Person (@jeremyperson), Corporate Communications Group Director at large US grocery chain Safeway, will join the show to walk us through Safeway’s intranet, built using only open source software.

Jeremy will explain Safeway’s success with low software costs, agile development and robust application integration. Is the open source approach better than shopping around for expensive software? Tune in to find out.

Also joining the show will be Becky Farone (@bk29), Senior Manger for Intranet & Information Resources at Group Health Cooperative. Becky has led a complete modernization of the intranet based on a rigorous, data-driven project.

Becky will take us through the steps she took to gain stakeholder buy-in, gather and analyse user data, and implement the project.
