Book-cover-Digital-Renaissance-of-Work-DWGNew York, NY – October 14th, 2014: Launch events in London on October 15th and New York City on November 12th for the new book “The Digital Renaissance of Work” will include thought leader panels hosted by the book’s authors, Paul Miller and Elizabeth Marsh of the Digital Workplace Group (DWG).

Paul Miller, CEO and Founder of the Digital Workplace Group (DWG), and Elizabeth Marsh, DWG Director of Research, have co-authored a new book that ties visionary thinking to practical guidance for large companies.

The new book,”The Digital Renaissance of Work: Delivering digital workplaces fit for the future”, has two parts. In the first section Miller explores how digital tools are changing our work and our lives more dramatically than we know. In the second section Marsh explains how companies can harness the power of their digital workplaces to create great value, and identifies how the rest are rapidly falling behind.

Paul Miller (@paulmillersays) is a technology and social entrepreneur. He’s been at the heart of the work and technology revolution for more than 20 years and has given keynote talks on the digital future of work to senior executives at organizations such as Microsoft, Google and Adobe. He also authored the 2012 book The Digital Workplace: How technology is liberating work.

Elizabeth Marsh (@digitalsanity) leads the Digital Workplace Group’s member research and events programme, bringing to this work more than a decade of experience in the fields of intranet and knowledge management. She has held intranet management roles at T-Mobile and Reuters, with broad-ranging responsibilities including community management, internal communications and research.

Brian Solis (@briansolis), a worldwide thought leader on digital communication, with more than 200,000 Twitter followers, has written an extensive foreword. The book includes detailed case studies of leading edge digital workplace practices from PwC, Cisco, Microsoft and Virgin Media.

The book is designed to provide inspiration and pragmatic advice to leaders at large organizations who are responsible for digital workplaces. This content is rooted in the extensive benchmarking and research conducted over the last decade by DWG.

DWG has scheduled two book launch events for the evenings of Wednesday, October 15th in London and Wednesday, November 12th in New York City. Miller and Marsh will host thought leader panel discussions at the two events, as well as give out free signed copies of the book.

The book is now available for purchase in paperback and as an eBook on the website of Gower Publishing. It is available on the Amazon.co.uk website in both formats and will become available on Amazon.com on October 28th.

For more information you can visit the book web page on the DWG website. The page includes more information about the book, links to the publisher and Amazon sites, a free PDF download of Chapter 1, a clickable excerpt that includes the first page from each section of the book, and a media kit for journalists, bloggers and event planners.
